About Taneja Aerospace & Aviation Ltd

Taneja Aerospace & Aviation Ltd (TAAL), based in Pune, India, is an Indian Seamless Group Company offering manufacturing and selling services connected with aviation. It consists of three distinct business divisions: Aircraft Sales and Services, Aero structures, and Airfield Services and MRO and has subsidiaries like TAAL Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, MM Infoproc Services Pvt Ltd, TAAL Technologies Pvt Ltd and First Airways Inc. As a private sector, the company is the only one to manufacture aircraft in India, in the General Aviation Aircraft category, such as the P68C, the Hansa and the Thorpe. It also offers certified aircraft parts and assemblies for government organizations or for the improvement of the country's space and aeronautical capacities. TAAL was incorporated on July 22, 1988, and conducted a public issue of 50 lakh equity shares in 1994 and a MoU with National Aeronautical Laboratory Bangalore as a risk sharing partner in 1995. In 2006 the manufacturing facilities were upgraded and the runway extended from 1.1 km to 2.3 km. The company also established a hangar that can accommodate an aircraft of the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 size and entered into a MoU with Bharat Earth Movers Ltd. in 2007. The engineering design services segment was transferred to a Wholly Owned Subsidiary Company TAAL Tech India Private Limited in 2013. In 2014, Katra Auto Engineering Private Limited became a wholly owned subsidiary of the company and TAAL Enterprises Limited was incorporated as a wholly owned subsidiary in 2015. Through the Scheme of Arrangement approved by the Madras High Court, the Charter business and investments in First Airways Inc. USA and TAAL Tech India Pvt Ltd. were transferred on August 21, 2015. During the FY 2019-20, the aircraft which TAAL Enterprises Limited operated veered off the runway during the landing and was extensively damaged.
