About Suryavanshi Spinning Mills Ltd

Suryavanshi Spinning Mills ( SSML ) was founded in December 1978 and is run by L N Agarwal and B N Agarwal. It originally manufactured high count cotton yarns for hosiery and weaving and diversified into production of lower count blended yarns such as millange and polyester viscose yarns for the hosiery and textiles industry. The group comprises of other companies such as Suryavanshi Cotton Mills and Suryalata Spinning Mills. In August 1994, a rights and public issue of Rs 6.04 crores and Rs 6.76 crores respectively was undertaken to finance the expansion and modernization of Rajna Unit to install 10080 spindles and Bhongir Unit in AP. The project cost of Rs.17.87 crores was completed the same year and subsequently, in 1997-98, the spinning division of Aliabad unit was given the ISO 9002 certification from KPMG. In 2000, the commencement of a modernisation project under TUF was taken up and is estimated to be completed in 2021 at cost of Rs.1600 lacs of which Rs.1300.74 lacs had already been spent as of 2001.
