About Indo Cotspin Ltd

Indo Cotspin was established in 1995 by four individuals - Bal Kishan Agarwal, Raj Pal Agarwal, Sameer Kalra and Brij Lal Kalra. The company set up a cotton yarn manufacturing unit at Jhattipur in Panipat district of Haryana with the capability of producing 34.75 lac kg of yarn annually. In January of 1996, to finance the project, a public issue of 2800000 equity shares of Rs 10 each was released, bringing the total sum to 280 lac. The manufactured yarn was used mainly for making bed covers, bedspreads, table cloth, canvas cloth, other handloom products, etc. Unfortunately, the facility was burnt down in a fire on the 19th of October, 1997. The extent of the damage is yet to be determined by the insurance company. Subsequently, the company decided to switch to trading of Synthetic waste, Cotton waste, Cotton, Cotton yarn and all other types of textile goods.
