About Spencers Retail Ltd

Spencers Retail Limited is an Indian contemporary retailer owned by the RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, based in Kolkata. It is one of the top players in the FMCG space, and has a portfolio of products in food and non-food items, including fashion staples, general merchandise, personal care, home essentials, electrical and electronics, and Spencers Gourmet Patisserie and Wine and Liquor. It has presence in 42 Indian cities, operating nearly 190 stores, including 36 Natures Basket stores. It operates two retail formats with stores ranging up to 5000 sq. ft. and over 5000 sq. ft. The Company acquired Natures Basket in July 2019 and opened 14 stores in 2021, including 2 Natures Basket stores. It opened 8 stores, both in Spencers and Natures Basket in 2022. As of March 2020, it had two wholly owned subsidiaries M/s. Omnipresent Retail India Private Limited and M/s. Natures Basket Limited.
