About Sandu Pharmaceuticals Ltd

Established in 1985, Sandu Pharmaceutical Limited (SPL) manufactures high-quality ayurvedic medicines, with its main production plant located in Chembur, Bombay. The company’s chairman, Bhaskar Sandu, successfully raised Rs 1.77 crore in September 1994 via a public issue of 17,70,000 equity shares to finance the development of their second plant in Goa. Their latest facility, which cost Rs7.28 crore to build, is well-equipped with modern machinery and material-handling systems, all in keeping with high hygienic standards to ensure the quality of their products. As ayurvedic medicines are in high demand in India and abroad due to their minimal side-effects, the Goa plant was inaugurated in 1996-97 and has since sustained steady commercial production.
