About Pil Italica Lifestyle Ltd

Established in 1992, Peacock IndustriesPIL manufactures plastic moulded industrial and household articles, such as furniture, chairs, tables, trolleys, sun loungers, crates, pallets, houseware, kitchenware, tableware, etc. under the Peacock and Italica brands. To increase the existing capacities, the company implemented an expansion scheme finance by internal accruals and institutional loans in 1994-1995. With a view to diversify its product range, Peacock Industries aims to introduce high-value added products such as toys, moulded and soft luggage, PET/PVC bottles, whiteline appliances, computer bodies, moulded beds, etc. In view of the erosion of net-worth, the company has applied to the Board of Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR), which has declared the company sick, with IDBI appointed as the operating agency.
