About Orient Cement Ltd

Orient Cement Limited is a public company based in India that produces and sells cement. Incorporated in 2011, the company underwent a scheme of arrangement approved by the Honble Orissa High Court and took over the cement undertaking of Orient Paper Industries Limited (OPIL) in 2012. Orient Cement has three cement manufacturing plants located in Devapur (Telangana), Jalgaon (Maharashtra), and Chittapur (Karnataka). In 2015, they successfully opened their new greenfield integrated cement plant in Chittapur. In 2017, the company automated systems and improved quality norms across its manufacturing plants. In 2018-19, it launched its premium cement, Birla.A1 StrongCrete, that is receiving good customer engagement due to its superior characteristics.
