About National Oxygen Ltd

National Oxygen Limited (NOL) was incorporated in December 1974. The company is engaged in the manufacturing of industrial gases and from 1975-80 mainly traded in industrial/medical gases. In the 1980s, the company set up a series of plants which included an oxygen plant with a capacity of 63 cu mtr ph, a dissolved acetylene plant at a cost of Rs 20.45 lac and a second oxygen plant at Rs 53.75 lac with term loan assistance from SIPCOT. In 1985, an additional plant for compressing waste nitrogen into commercial grade nitrogen was also installed with a 165 cu mtr ph capacity plant at Pondicherry, which was operational from September 1987. Following this, in July 1994 a rights issue was launched to set up a liquid oxygen/liquid nitrogen/liquid argon tonnage plant with a capacity of 75 tpd, who's expansion project was completed in 1995-96. With this NOL has established a strong presence in the industrial gases sector.
