About Keerthi Industries Ltd

Keerthi Industries Ltd is a cement production and sales company based in India with an installed capacity of 297000 tonnes per annum (900 tpd). They mainly operate in the Andhra Pradesh region, with minor sales to Tamilnadu and Karnataka. The company was established in 1982 by V C Brahamanna and suffered losses in the initial years, leading to its referral to BIFR with recommendation of increasing the installed capacity to 99000 TPA. Hyderabad Bottling Company Ltd subsequently took over management and by 2004 the capacity was further increased to 297000 tonnes per annum (900 tpd). The company has since been awarded Best Turnaround/Revival of a Sick Industry by the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry in 2003. Keerthi Industries Ltd is currently expanding their capacity to 528000 tpa at a total cost of Rs.102.16 crore with expected completion and commencement of production by October 2010. The company is also looking to set up a one million tonne capacity unit in the existing premises itself.
