About Kanishk Steel Industries Ltd

Established by the Gupta Brothers in 1989, Kanishk Steel Industries is a public limited company with an impressive installed capacity of 50000 tonnes per annum (TPE) for producing varied steel and structuring products ranging from tors, rounds, squares to profiles and channels, joints, I-beams etc. The company had gone forward with an ambitious eco-friendly initiative - the creation of a 6 megawatt (MW) wind power project – for which it had also extended a 1:1 rights issue of FCDs amounting to Rs. 25 crore to augment its resources. In turn, it’s production capacity gets expanded from 50000 TPE to 66000 TPE. Additionally, the company enjoys conversion contracts from notable organisations such as the Indian Iron and Steel Company, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam and other semi-producer organisations. Kanishk Steel Industries has taken several successful steps of diversifying their activities in which an integrated steel project - for a capacity of 3 lakh tonnes of steel billets - was established with the assistance of Chongquing Iron and Steel Company (China) with a cost amounting to Rs. 400 crore in November 1994.
