About Kabsons Industries Ltd

Kabsons Industries, originally incorporated in 1992 as Ellipse Industries, changed its name in 1993 when the new management took over. To part-finance a plant to manufacture 6 kg gas cylinders and gas filling plants, the company went public in 1994. In 1995, the cylinder manufacturing plant was successfully commenced in Aurangabad. The Department of Explosives issued various requirements which delayed the implementation of shifting the plant to a new location. In 1996, a joint venture agreement was signed with SHV Energy India Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of SHV Energy of the Netherlands to ensure adequate availability of LPG. During 1996-97, the company increased the capacity at Baroda plant and introduced automation. In 1999-2000, the company entered an agreement with Reliance Petroleum Ltd for bottling of gas and also had the bottling plant at Ranchi commissioned. Due to prevailing market conditions, the commissioning of Rohtak-Nagpur and Rajkot plant was deferred.
