About Josts Engineering Company Ltd

Josts Engineering Company Ltd JECL incorporated in May 1907 carries on the business of electrical and mechanical engineering and holds agencies for American British and other European manufacturers of electrical and mechanical engineering equipment. The Companys primary business areas are material handling and engineered products.In 199091 the industrial finishing division supplied a plant for painting marine containers. A new model of the Pygmy hydraulic pallet truck was introduced. Inhouse development of new diesel dork lift trucks incorporating the latest technology was successfully introduced in the market. The company is making efforts to create an export market for its products. The company formed Haden Josts Engineering India Pvt Ltd a joint venture with Haden Drysys International UK.During 19992000 Kerry Jost Engineering Ltd KJEL which the Company is shareholder 35 had suspended its manufacturing operations at Madras due to poor business prospects lack of orders and nonavailability of working capital. The Company ventured into Software activities to provide engineering solutions in the field of sound and vibration data recording and gas monitoring. It also signed an agreement with one of major principals to promote the software developed by the Company .During the period 2005 storage facility cum service centre was established near Mumbai. Two major initiatives were taken a Performance Management System based on the balanced score card philosophy and ERP SAP implementation. Josts organised into three core business areas viz. Material Handling Division Industrial Finishing Division and Engineered Products Division during the period 200607. It ventured into the Nano Technology and Analytical Instrumentation business during 2009. The Electrical product line grew with the expansion of new Power Project. In the Industrial Finishing Division the Heat and Combustion line was done. An Electric Fork Lift Truck designed by their Engineering Team was launched. In 2014 the Company introduced Indigenous Reach Trucks. The Company incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary in Ajman Free Trade Zone UAE during 2015.Subsequent to the end of Financial Year 201617 the Company acquired 60 equity shares of MHE Rentals Private Limited. As a result MHE Rentals became a subsidiary Company. In 2018 it introduced Josts Made Diesel Forklift further launched Aerial Work Platform Range Order Picker during 2019 and introduced Rack Clad Warehouse in 2022. The Company incorporated a Wholly Owned SubsidiaryCompany outside India namely Josts Engineering Inc. with effect from 28th June 2022..
