About IP Rings Ltd

IP Rings Limited (IPR) was incorporated in 1991 and is engaged in the manufacture of engine and transmission components. It has manufacturing plant at Maraimalai Nagar, Chennai, India with Nippon Piston Rings, Japan as its collaborator. The proceeds of the public issue are being used to part-finance the project of manufacturing 75 lakh piston rings per annum under the brand name IPLPowerpack, along with NifflexS threepiece oil rings, S G iron rings and cast iron rings. The company has also installed a gas nitriding facility and increased its capacity from 20 lakh to 30 lakh rings per annum. In addition to this, it has also issued 352100 equity shares of Rs. 10 each, priced at Rs.157 per share and 365100 convertible warrants to the promoter companies. To strengthen the quality management, IPR was awarded the prestigious QS 9000 accreditation by TUV India in 19992000. It further commissioned the new project for the manufacture of transmission components like Synchrocones, Differential Shaft Gears and Pinions in 200405, and the project for the manufacture of PVD Rings was also commercialised in 20112012.
