About Indokem Ltd

Indokem Ltd, formerly a part of Khatau Mahendra Group and promoted by Dharamsey Khatau, is a diversified company that focuses on the production of Synthetic Organic Dye Stuffs. The company, established in 1964 as a private limited company, which then became a deemed public limited company in 1979, went through major changes in 1995-96 when it merged with Indokem Ltd and changed its name to Indokem Ltd on October 18, 1996. Later, in 1992 they diversified their business interests and entered into the manufacture of Insecticides such as Malathion, Dimethoate, Monocrotophos, and Phosphamidon. They further increased their business expansion by increasing their installed capacity of Vat Dyes to 120 TPA in their Ankleshwar plant and selling their Agrochemicals division, which is into the manufacturing of insecticides, to Rallis Industrial Chemicals Ltd in 1996 for a price of 21 crores. Through the process of divestment and sales, Indokem Ltd. has managed to give more attention to their Vat Dye production and achieved their highest level of production.
