About Hindustan Adhesives Ltd

Hindustan Adhesives Limited (HAL) was established in April 1988 to manufacture products for the rapidly growing packaging industry. It expanded progressively to include Double Bubble Film technology and has three manufacturing locations in Gautambudh Nagar, Roorkee, and Bhadreshwar Kutch. It has state-of-the-art equipment, such as an acrylic adhesive coating machine, hot melt coating and adhesive-making machine, and BOPP film-making equipment. These are primarily used in the packaging industry, with major clients such as Jindal, SIEL, Dabur, and Parasrampuria. In 1994, the company implemented a backward integration project to begin manufacturing polypropylene films, and in 2012, POF shrink films were produced. In 2015, a subsidiary company, Bagla Wellness Private Limited, was formed to open fitness centres in New Delhi. In 2020, another greenfield unit was opened in Kutch Gujarat for manufacturing BOPP packaging tapes for international markets, while in 2022, the company developed sustainable self-adhesive tapes for carton sealing for the domestic markets. HAL has been lauded with the ASIASTAR 99 award from the Asian Packaging Federation for developing world-class self-adhesive tear tapes.
