About Bal Pharma Ltd

BPL, a member of Macrolabs group, was incorporated in May 1987 and took over a pharmaceutical product manufacturing unit in Bangalore worth Rs 25.18 lac. The company manufactures and markets, pharmaceutical formulations such as paracetamol, aluminium hydroxide and povidone iodine. It came out with a public issue in Feb 1995 for the manufacturing of bulk drugs and expansion of pharmaceutical formulations. Additions to product range include AZIWIN CAFIMOL, CORTIDERM, Zanovid, Aziwin Dry Syrup, Meloxi Ocium, M Progit, MPS and Cardiac Specialities, AmilorideBenzydamine and Ebastine were added in 2002. BPL promotes its products through the sales force of the Macrolabs group and plans to launch its own soon. The unit has become a division of Bal Pharma Limited, thus marking an expansion in the drug production.
