About Asian Tea & Exports Ltd

Asian Tea Exports Ltd (ATEL) was incorporated under the name Sita Plantations Pvt Ltd, and converted into a Public Limited Company, with the name changed to ATEL. The company has acquired 100 Hectares (250 Acres) of agricultural land in Sathkamar and Kukurjan villages of Rajganj Block in the Jalpaiguri District of West Bengal. It took place between November 89-90, and the plantation commenced on May 1991. Additionally, ATEL is in the process of acquiring an extra 250 Hectares of land for development and tea plantation. Furthermore, it has planned to set up a Processing Unit capable of producing 11 lakh kg of made tea. The total investment as of June 15, 1994 is Rs 170 Lacs. They are currently waiting for the NOC from the Government of West Bengal to set up the manufacturing unit.
