About Amforge Industries Ltd

Amforge Industries (AIL) was incorporated on 21st April 1971 as Hakimrai Jaichand Forgings Pvt Ltd and is now the second-largest manufacturer of forgings in India. It produces a vast range of steel forgings from its plants in Mumbai, Pune, Faridabad and Khopoli which serve clients such as TELCO, Ashok Leyland, Maruti Udyog, Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Tempo, Mahindra, Mahindra and Escorts. AIL came out with a public issue of 14.19 lakh 12.5% PCs amounting to Rs 14.19 crore in July 1990 and used the proceeds to partially finance its expansion project to increase its forgings capacity to 35,000 tonnes per annum. After successful stabilization of its precision forging plant in Chakan, Pune, the company undertook an exercise in 1997 to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
