About AI Champdany Industries Ltd

AI Champdany Industries Limited is an Indian manufacturing company established in 1873, specialising in the production, processing and exporting of jute products. The company operates in two segments, Jute/ Jute diversified products with a production capacity of 100 tonnes per day and Flax products. Their subsidiaries include Landale Clark Limited, West Bengal Multifiber Jute Park, Champdany Constructions Limited and AIC Properties Ltd. During the 2010 fiscal year, the company produced 45,170 million tonnes of jute/jute related products and 416 million tonnes of flax products. The company has a current installed capacity of 1,13,486 million tonnes of jute/diversified products and 1,235 million tonnes of flax products. In 2006, they set up a flax unit to produce 720 MT of flax item and in 2007, they established a 1500 MT capacity wool combing and spinning unit, plus accompanying bleaching and dying facilities. They have also set up a carpet manufacturing unit, producing 1.5 million sq metres annually, plus a further 100 EOU for the manufacture of fine yarn.
