Step 3: Select ‘Deductor’ as the user type and fill in all the necessary information.
Step 4: After entering all the details, click on ‘Proceed’.
Step 5: Then you will receive an activation link on your registered email address along with unique activation codes on your registered email address and mobile number.
Step 6: Click on the activation link. Then enter your user ID and information for activation.
How to register on TRACES as a taxpayer?
As a taxpayer, you need to follow the below-given key steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website of TRACES.
Step 2: Click on ‘Register as a new user’.
Step 3: You need to select ‘Taxpayer’ as a user type.
Step 4: A taxpayer needs to fill in the following information to complete TRACES registration:
- PAN details
- Date of Birth/ Incorporation
- Name of Tax Payer
Along writh any of the following:
- Details of TDS deducted/collected
- Details of 26QB Statement
- Details of Challan used to deposit tax by the taxpayer
