JB Advani & Co Mysore Pvt Ltd was incorporated on 23rd July 1948 and became a public limited company on 30th June 1975. It was engaged in marketing welding electrodes, equipment, accessories, paper and ferroalloy plastic, pepper, cement, steel, and the manufacture and sale of readymade garments and Power Talcum and After Shave Preperation. In 1987, a consumer product division was introduced, marketing products like shaving cream, cologne, after shave lotion, shampoo etc. under the brand name English Leather. In 1988, Herbertons Ltd was appointed as distributor for Western and Eastern regions of the country. In 198384, the Company entered into an agreement with MEN International, USA, Men for the manufacture of Mens Cosmetics and Toiletries marketed under the brand name English Leather. From 199394, the Company commenced manufacture of toiletries like after shave lotion and EauDe Toilette of international standard, and in 19992000, it obtained an Ayurvedic License to target the growing Ayurvedic sector. In March 2001, an alliance was forged with Himalaya Drug Company for the manufacture of Ayurvedic Concepts Range products. JBAdvani & Co Mysore Pvt Ltd is a leading supplier of welding electrodes, equipment, accessories, paper and ferroalloy plastic, pepper, cement, steel, and manufacture and sale of readymade garments, Power Talcum and After Shave Preparation products. Its consumer product division, established in 1987, markets a wide range of products like shaving cream, cologne, after shave lotion, shampoo etc. under the brand name English Leather. Furthermore, the Company also offers toiletries like after shave lotion and EauDe Toilette as well as Ayurvedic products, which it manufactures in collaboration with MEN International, USA and Himalaya Drug Company, respectively.
