About Thirumalai Chemicals Ltd

Incorporated in 1972 Thirumalai Chemicals (TCL) is a premier chemicals manufacturer. The company produces and markets Phthalic Anhydride, Maleic Anhydride, Tartaric Acid, Fumaric Acid, Maleic Acid, Food Acids and other feedstock for various applications. It had a technical tie-up with Alusuisse Italia Italy for the recovery of maleic anhydride from effluent gases of the phthalic anhydride plant. In the year 1994, TCL expanded its activities by setting up additional plants at Ranipet Tamil Nadu with an installed capacity of 87,000 MT of Phthalic Anhydride, 10,750 MT of Maleic Anhydride and 17,000 MT of Food Acids. In 1995-96, TCL was recognized as an Export House and continues to export its products to the Gulf countries, Pakistan, Bangladesh, East Asia and Australia. It has been awarded the ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 certification by BVQI. The company also has a joint venture in Malaysia to manufacture pthalic anhydride and fumaric acid. TCL has undertaken projects to modernise and revamp its old PAN plants and invested Rs. 10 Crores for the same and successfully commissioned the Dahej Phthalic Anhydride plant in June 2021. The company has also established a new division at the Special Economic Zone in Ranipet Tamil Nadu India in March 2020 and has set up two windmills in Palani Taluka Tamil Nadu in 200708 which are now operational. To increase its global presence, the company also established a subsidiary in Singapore and two step-down subsidiaries in Singapore and Malaysia in 2011.
