Additionally, as people are becoming more health-conscious, sales of ready-to-eat food items, such as frozen vegan pizza, vegan macaroni and cheese have also surged in the US. Consumers have also become more aware of environmental and animal welfare issues surrounding animal-based food products. The European area has also seen an increase in demand for plant-based food products, with plant-based milk revenues up 3.6% at 12.7 billion Euro.
