Metalyst Forgings Limited (formerly known as Ahmednagar Forgings Limited) is a leading manufacturer of forging axle beams and crankshafts in India. The company’s product range includes components for two/three wheelers, cars, tractors, light commercial vehicles (LCV), heavy commercial vehicles (HCV), and stationary engines. The company operates from facilities in Ahmednagar, Chakan, Kuruli, Aurangabad in Maharashtra and Baddi in Himachal Pradesh. It specializes in products such as connecting rods and caps, crankshafts and camshafts, steering levers, gear shifter forks, sector gears and shafts, front impact beams, drive shafts, spindlers hubs and flanges. In the year 1993-94, the company acquired a sick unit which enabled them to produce cold forgings. This unit was renamed Asian Auto Parts and divisions of the company. In the year 2005, they sold the Fastner Division that was situated in Maharashtra. Subsequently, they increased their forging capacities from 90000 Tonnes per annum (TPA) to 165000 TPA (200607) and from 165000 TPA to 225000 TPA (200910). They merged with Amtek Auto Ltd in 2007 and their name changed to Metalyst Forgings Ltd in 2015.
