About KCP Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd

KCP Sugar and Industries Corporation Limited was founded in 1995 under a Scheme of Arrangement approved by the Madras High Court. The company focuses on sugar and industrial alcohol production, and currently operates a 4000 tonnne a day crushing capacity plant at Lakshmipuram. In addition, it is also planning to establish a 50 kilolitre a day distillery cum ethanol plant at Vuyyuru, and a 20 megawatt cogeneration plant, the latter of which will be delayed due to the large capital expenditure. In 2001, the company had bought back 1,554,511 Equity shares, reducing its share capital to that extent.
