About JSW Holdings Ltd

Jindal South West Holdings Limited (JSWHL), a Non Banking Financial Company (NBFC) registered with Reserve Bank of India (RBI), was incorporated in July 2001 as an Investment Company of the JSW Promoters Group. The primary business activities include investing in stocks, securities and providing management consultancy services. The Company entered into a scheme of arrangement and amalgamation with Jindal Iron & Steel Company (JISCO) and Jindal Vijayanagar Steel (JVSL) where investments related loans and advances of JISCO were demerged into the company. In 2005, an agreement with the Government of Andhra Pradesh (AP) was signed to incorporate a new company to set up an alumina and aluminium refinery and smelter plants in Vishakapatnam. The same year, the Company secured a Certificate of Registration as Non Banking Financial Company (NBFC) from RBI. In 2006, the company shifted its registered office from Mumbai to Delhi and formed a subsidiary, Jindal Overseas PTE Limited (JOPL) in Singapore. Following the application for voluntary winding up in 2018, JOPL was deprecated, bringing an end to the Company’s association with it.
