Gujarat Cotex Limited is a renowned name in the resale of grey fabrics in India. Established in 1996 as Octagon Industries Limited in Silvassa, India, the company diversified into Textile Processing and Texturising services. In 2000, they entered into agreement with Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL) and National Security Depository Limited (NSDL) to permit their securities to be traded in the demat format. In 2007, their name was changed from Octagon Industries Ltd to Gujarat Cotex Ltd, reflecting the growth of their business.
