About Elantas Beck India Ltd

Elantas Beck India Limited, formerly Dr Beck Company India, was established in 1956 and is a subsidiary of Elantas GmbH, a company part of Altana Group. The company manufactures specialty chemicals for electrical insulation and construction industries which include wire enamels, varnishes, epoxy and unsaturated polyester resins to meet the needs of different sectors. BASF Germany had 51% controlling interest before Schenectady International Inc. USA acquired it in 1998. Following this, the company was known as SchenectadyBeck India Ltd before changing the name to Beck India Ltd. in 2003. It then changed its name to ELANTAS Beck India Ltd. in 2007. In 2019, the company acquired from Hubergroup India Private Limited technical know-how and business intangibles pertaining to the wire enamel business. It also added 27 CuM capacity for wire enamel capacity and four storage tanks of 24 KL capacity each in 2013 for imported solvents and dock leveller for efficient and safe material handling.
