About Birla Precision Technologies Ltd

Birla Precision Technologies Ltd (BPTL), based in India, is a manufacturer of a wide variety of precision tools including AT3 Class tool holders, HSK tooling, Expanding Mandrels, Sleeves, Hydro Grip and Shrink Fit CMC tooling. The company began operations on October 13th, 1986 as Birla Erickson Tools Ltd, but it was changed to Birla Kennametal Ltd in December 1989. BPTL has a manufacturing facility located in Aurangabad and its production capacity for Machine Tool Accessories was increased from 50000 Nos to 100000 Nos in 1998-1999. BPTL has also been successful in obtaining ISO 9001:02 Certification. In order to satisfy demand, the company has converted its tool holder and work holding manufacturing section into an 100 percent Export Oriented Unit, and it has also expanded the production capacity of Rotating Tool Holder from 10000 Nos per month to 18000 Nos per month, and Collets from 1000 Nos per month to 15000 Nos per month. In order to expand its capacity, BPTL plans to invest approximately Rs 4 crore for machinery to manufacture its Collet product.
