About Bharat Gears Ltd

Bharat Gears Ltd (BGL) is a joint venture formed by Bharat Steel Tubes and Raunaq Company and ZF Friedrichshafen Germany, incorporated in 1971 that specializes in the manufacturing of automotive gears. It has two divisions – an automotive gears division, responsible for 92% of the company’s revenue, and an industrial furnaces division. With two gear manufacturing units located in Mumbra, Thane District Maharashtra and Faridabad, Haryana, the company exports its products to both international and domestic markets. BGL has the certification of ISO 9002 and QS 9000 accreditation for its Mumbra Plant, by BVQI and was awarded for its continuous improvement during 1999-2000. The foreign collaborator holds 25.99 stake in the company.
