About AG Ventures Ltd

Oriental Carbon & Chemicals Limited (OCCL) is an Indian based chemicals manufacturing company founded on June 19, 1978 and having two production facilities in India. Their core business is the production and sales of insoluble sulphur with two-thirds of their turnover being from export clients. Its products are used in tires, rubber products, paints, soaps, detergents insecticides etc. In 2009 they began a greenfield expansion of 11,000 metric tons per annum (MTPA) of insoluble sulphur at the Mundra plant. In 2011 the first phase of 5,500 MTPA of Insoluble Sulphur capacity was completed with the second phase of 5,500 MTPA capacity commissioned in May 2012. From 2012 onwards the first and second phase of the Mundra plant were fully operational. In 2021 a second expansion of 5,500 MTPA of insoluble sulphur in Dharuhera, India was completed. In addition, the company also recently incorporated a subsidiary to handle its chemical business. Upon becoming effective, this will result in two independent entities, one focusing on chemicals and the other on investment trading.
