About Vijay Solvex Ltd

Vijay Solvex is an Indian business established in 1987, focusing on the production of solvent extraction, vegetable oil, refinery and compound cattle feed. The company was promoted in 1995 and soon after went public, raising capital to finance the addition of a Vanaspati Ghee plant of 50 TPD capacity and a Soap unit of 6 TPD capacity. Products of Vijay Solvex are marketed under their brand ‘Scooter’, primarily as refined mustard oil, soyabean oil and groundnut oil, in tins. The company has a wide dealer network to ensure their products reach the consumers. In 2002, Vijay Solvex commissioned a Wind Power Plant of 1.38 MW in the Jaisalmer District of India. This plant started to generate power from March 2002. To increase revenue in Europe, Vijay Solvex is in the process of expanding production of their bone china ceramics products.
