About Venkys (India) Ltd

Venkys India Ltd, a part of the VH Group, is an integrated poultry company in Asia, with its major business segment in poultry and poultry products. The company produces and sells day-old broiler and layer chicks, SPF eggs, processed chicken products, poultry feed, animal health products, soya bean extract and more. Founded by Dr B V Rao in 1976 as a private limited, they became a public limited company in 1998. Ranked 67th among the 100 best global small companies in the year 1999-2000 by Forbes, the company has been diversifying ever since, increasing technology and ROI. They have their production, manufacturing and other facilities across India and primarily export to India too. This year, Venkys India Ltd sales turnover was Rs.3116.63 crore, a decrease of 4.4% compared to the previous year. They recently acquired poultry and packaging operations of their holding company and issued bonus equity shares of 4695779 in the ratio of 1 bonus share for every 2 held. Expansion projects are being undertaken to increase capacities of oilseed, SPF eggs, poultry feed and nutritional health products.
