About V2 Retail Ltd

Vishal Retail Ltd is an Indian retail group that has rapidly advanced in the industry. It has 182 stores spread out across the country and offers a range of affordable products from apparel to household goods and consumer goods. The portfolio of products offered includes readymade apparels, household merchandise, footwear, watches, toys, toiletries, grocery items, sports items, crockery, novelties and gifts among others. It has subsidiaries such as VRL Foods Ltd, VRL Movers Ltd, VRL Consumers Goods Ltd, VRL Fashions Ltd and VRL Infrastructure Ltd. It was initially set up as a proprietorship firm - Vishal Garments in 2001 and converted into a Public Ltd company in 2006. The company Central Purchase of Goods and Services ensures that benefits are passed on to the consumer.The company has three manufacturing facilities with a total installed capacity of 4.5 million pieces per annum. It also has 29 warehouses covering 1.1 million sq ft of space and 98 trucks in its fleet. It has entered an agreement with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd to launch 2025 retail outlets or warehouses and has opened two trial stores. To reduce cost and risk, the company is planning to launch nine new formats (two in apparel, one consumer durable store, and six small convenience formats) through the franchisee model. This will enable customers to enjoy a diverse range of products at affordable prices.
