About Ultramarine & Pigments Ltd

Ultramarine Pigments Limited was established in October 1960 and is currently engaged in manufacturing and selling of pigments, surfactants, IT-enabled services, and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) activities. The company has two main manufacturing facilities in Ranipet, Vellore District, Tamil Nadu and Naidupet, SPSR District, Andhra Pradesh. It also produces its own power, through Wind Power Generators installed across Tamil Nadu. IT-enabled services and BPO activities are conducted from offices in Chennai and Ranipet. Over the years, the company has diversified its business by setting up additional units, such as a factory for making High-Density Polyethylene Woven Sacks (1987), four windmills with a Total of 1 MW capacity (1995), Synthetic Detergent Bars/Cakes (1995) with an installed capacity of 15,000 MT/PA, a Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulphonic Acid plant with an installed capacity of 16,000 MT/PA (1996), and a 1500 MT/PA capacity Ultramarine Blue unit expansion (1997). It has also been awarded several ISO certificates throughout the years and has grown to acquire more land, build more wind turbines, and expand the installed capacity of its HDPE/PP Woven Fabric. With its recent acquisition of land at Dahej, Gujarat (April 2011), Ultramarine Pigments Limited plans to use it to set up a plant to manufacture Surfactants, Pigments, and other products to meet the demand of the Western and Northern parts of India
