About Terai Tea Co Ltd

The Terai Tea Company, Incorporated on 25 Sep 73 and driven by Ajit Kumar Agarwala, is primarily in the business of tea plantation, processing, trading and export. Bagdogra Tea Estate is the flagship asset of the company with an annual production of 8 lac kg of tea. Additionally, packet tea is being marketed under the company's "My Cup" brand name in the domestic market. Furthermore, an MoU with Sovincom of Moscow, Russia, was signed to export tea worth Rs 50 cr during 199596. Additionally, a public issue was made in Apr. 95 with the profits being used to set up two separate EOU units for blending and packing for tea – one for the export market and one for the domestic market. Finally, the capacity has grown by 15 lacs kg of made tea during 199798.
