About Shyam Century Ferrous Ltd

Shyam Century Ferrous Limited (SCFL) was established in April 2011 under the Companies Act 1956. They have a plant at Byrnihat Meghalaya and are specialized in manufacturing FerroAlloys and Power generation. The plant has an annual production capacity of 21600 MT of FerroSilicon, used in steel production as a reductant or grain refiner, with a 14 MW of Captive Power Generation to fuel the production. The facility in Northeastern India also produces SilicoManganese and other Ferroalloys. In 2015, SCFL entered into a Scheme of Arrangement with Star Ferro and Cement Limited and allocated 222172990 Equity Shares in return. In FY 2020-21, the company established a Research & Development cell and spent Rs 1.77 lakhs and also sold their entire shareholdings in Meghalaya Power Limited, thus ceasing it to be an Associate company.
