About Shetron Ltd

Shetron SL, originally named Shetron Metals, was established in July 1980 in Bangalore Karnataka by Divakar S Shetty and his associates along with the Karnataka State Industrial Investment Development Corporation. They specialize in the manufacture of battery cell jackets and components, cans and printed metal sheets. In August 1993, the company successfully raised Rs. 9.22 crore through a public issue with a premium of Rs. 30. The funds were used to expand their production capacity for open top sanitary cans, which was appraised by IDBI at Rs. 20.48 crore. In the 199394 financial year, they followed up the expansion by importing advanced technology for dry battery cell jackets and components. They have since become market leaders in processed food and vegetables and more recently, the Mushroom Sector, aiming to become major suppliers and market leaders. Their client base now extends to the likes of Union Carbide, Indo National, Lakhanpal National and other companies in Europe, West Asia and East Asia.
