About SEAMEC Ltd

Peerless General Finance Investment Company's subsidiary South East Asia Marine Engineering and Construction Ltd, prior known as Peerless Shipping Oilfield Services, specialises in multisupport vessel operations for underwater/subsea engineering services, deepsea diving, inspection of underwater structures, rescue operations, and fire fighting. South East Asia Marine Engineering and Construction Ltd launched a public share issue in 1995 to finance the purchase of two Multipurpose Support Vessels and cover the costs of the public issue. A MoU was also signed with Rompetrol Romania for technical and equipment support for oilfield services. Furthermore, the company has a subcontracting arrangement with Stena Offshore. Coflexip Tena Offshore CSO increased its holdings in the company to 58.24% in October 1999 and initiated an agreement with Coflexip Stena Offshore Ltd. ONGC has invited bids from the company to run their three owned MSVs Samudra Sevak, Samudra Prabha and Samudra Suraksha. South East Asia Marine Engineering and Construction Ltd is equipped with the necessary experience, making them a worthy candidate for these operations.
