Sarveshwar Foods Limited (the “Company”) was originally incorporated as a private limited company under the name of Sarveshwar Overseas Private Limited in August 2004. It has undertaken several changes in its name since then and was finally renamed to Sarveshwar Foods Limited in June 2015. In 2010, the Company acquired the business and assets of M/s. Nimbark Rice Mills proprietorship firm of Ms. Radha Rani Gupta. It also acquired the assets and liabilities of M/s. Sarveshwar Overseas sole Proprietorship firm of the Promoter Mr. Rohit Gupta later in 2013 for a total amount of Rs.165.23 million. In 2015, its subsidiary Sarveshwar Overseas Limited further acquired the assets and liabilities of M/s. Sarveshwar Overseas Mills Partnership Firm as a going concern.

The Company operates its business mainly from the Jammu region of the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir, which is further divided into 3 regions, namely the Jammu, Kashmir Valley and Leh/Ladakh regions. The Company is primarily involved in the processing and marketing of branded and unbranded Basmati and non-Basmati rice in the domestic and international markets. The Kashmir Valley region has been historically affected by insurgencies, however, the Jammu and the Leh/Ladakh regions have been largely peaceful and unaffected, as they are geographically far away from the Kashmir Valley (270 kms).
