About S.A.L Steel Ltd

SAL Steel Limited is an Indian steel and iron firm based in Gujarat. It produces power, sponge iron, ferro alloys, manganese steel, stainless steel angles and other ferro alloys. Of its total production, 50% of sponge iron is used by Shah Alloys Ltd. and remaining 50% is sold to steel industries and states such as Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh. The company produces 40MW of power from its waste heat recovery boiler and fluidized bed combustion boiler, which it also sells to various customers. The total net saleable production for fiscal 2010 is 69069 metric tonnes of sponge iron, 11973 metric tonnes of ferro chrome and 2933 metric tonnes of silicon manganese. SAL Steel is well situated near the Kandla Port in Gujarat, having secured ties with renowned raw material suppliers and offering the advantages of a busy commercial port and proximity to finished product customers.
