About Ramgopal Polytex Ltd

Ramgopal Polytex (RPL) is a draw twisted yarn manufacturing company that was promoted by Mohanlal Jatia of the Ramgopal group. RPL, established in 1981 based in Amgaon Maharashtra, is part of the group which also comprises other companies such as Ramgopal Textiles (RTL), J M Textiles (JMT) and Universal Luggage ManufacturingCompany. To finance the expansion of its draw twisting / texturising capacity from 1200 TPA to 4300 TPA and for working capital, the company approached the public in Jan. 95 with an equity share at a premium of Rs 10 which aggregates to Rs 21 Cr. In addition to this, it also markets polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) manufactured by Itochu Corporation from Japan and serves as the selling agent in India for PVA manufactured by Unitika Kasai, Japan for use as warp sizing agent for polyester filament yarn.
