Gaurav Mercantiles Limited, incorporated in 1985, was originally involved in ship breaking trading activities, however, businesses like investment were affected by the liberalization of imports. In November 2018, Mr. Raghav Bahl and Ms. Ritu Kapur signed a Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) to acquire 66.42 shares and control the company. Following this, an Open Offer was declared by them to acquire a maximum of 520,000 equity shares. On March 20, 2019, the Company approved to shift its registered office from Vile Parle E, Mumbai to Lower Parel West, Mumbai. The new directors with the Board jointly proposed a venture into Media and Entertainment space and on 25th May, successfully completed the preferential allotment hence raising over Rs. 70 crores to fund the business.
