About Precision Camshafts Ltd

Precision Camshafts Ltd is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of camshafts, an engine component used in the passenger vehicles, tractors, light commercial vehicles, and locomotive engines. With its two global manufacturing facilities, it has an aggregate capacity of 15.6 million camshafts and a global market share of 8-9%. Their domestic market share in India stands at 70%, and some of their biggest customers are Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai India, Tata Motors, and Mahindra. With an aim to strengthen the business operations in Asia, Precision Camshafts entered two joint ventures- one for machining and one for setting up a foundry in China. In 2016, the company listed their shares on BSE and NSE, and then committed investments to their wholly owned subsidiary for strategic acquisitions. In 2018, they went on to acquire majority shareholdings in MEMCO and MFT to strengthen its castings, machining, and fuel injection components. Moreover, they also incorporated a subsidiary in Brazil and acquired EMOSS to provide complete electric powertrains for trucks, busses, military vehicles, and heavy equipment. This has enabled the company to gain a foothold in the domestic and global markets and gain access to electric mobility markets such as Europe, North America and Australasia.
