About Ponni Sugars (Erode) Ltd

Ponni Sugars Erode Limited was established in the year 1996, as an offspring of the Ponni Sugars and Chemicals Ltd (PSCL), under a demerger scheme sanctioned by the Honble High Court of Madras. It has a 1250 TCD capacity mill, with an expansion to 2500 TCD in 1994. The mill set a milestone as it declared its first dividend of 10 within a year of its commencement of operations, a record in sugar industry. The company setup a lift irrigation system to bring dry lands under sugarcane cultivation, which benefited both the farmers and companies. Also, a coal and multi fuel boiler was installed for efficient production of sugar. The company is one of the quality producers of sugar with a cordial employee relationship and believes in fair dealings with all its stakeholders with sound corporate governance.
