About National General Industries Ltd

National General Industries began as a sole proprietorship in 1967, before becoming a partnership firm in 1986 and then a private limited company in January 1987. In 1993, they became a public limited company and increased their production capacity from 9600 tpa to 15000 tpa with modernization of the rolling mill and billet reheating furnace. In February 1996, they went public with the aim of expanding their production capacity to 33000 tpa and setting up a forging unit with a capacity of 2240 tpa. Despite the poor economical conditions, their profits after tax increased by over 43% in 1997-98 compared to the previous year.
