About Lactose (India) Ltd

Lactose India Ltd. is a manufacturing and trading company based in India. Specializing in edible and pharmaceutical grade lactose, they also produce dairy whitener, dairy calcium, whey powder, casein, caseinate, butter and ghee. Their products are used in pharmaceuticals, dairy, food, confectionery and beverage industries. Established in March 1991, the company has two production facilities located in Vadodara, Gujarat. Their technologies include wet granulation, fluid bed drying, compaction, blending and coating. Their domestic network is comprised of agents established in 8 key Indian cities - Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Calcutta, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. In addition to their core business, Lactose India Ltd. has expanded operations to include contract manufacturing and exports. A project was launched in 1994 to increase the capacity of lactose with a capacity of 465 tpa, to 1500 tpa. Along with this, a pharmaceutical formulation plant and sweetened condensed milk for domestic supply was introduced. Additionally, they have set up a liquid orals division and have invested in upgrading and renovating their pharmaceutical facility.
