About Keltech Energies Ltd

Keltech Energies Ltd. (previously known as Karnataka Explosives) is a part of the Chowgule Group and is engaged in the manufacture of Industrial explosives with an installed capacity of 37,000 tonnes per annum and Perlite products with an installed capacity of 6,900 tonnes per annum. The company operates from three locations, Vishwasnagar in Udupi district of Karnataka, Waidhan and Jamudigram in Sidhi and Shahdol districts respectively of Madhya Pradesh and Chrapur Nagpur in Maharashtra. Karnataka Explosives has also established its third SMS plant in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh and has started operations successfully. The company has diversified its customer profile to include both the coal and non-coal sectors, and is proud to be associated with a number of prestigious clients in the mining industry including KIOCL, NMDC, HCL and SAIL. The technology for emulsion explosives used by Karnataka Explosives was imported from their collaborators ETI Explosives Technologies International US in 1988-89.
