About Kalyani Steels Ltd

Kalyani Steels Limited is part of the over 2.1 billion Kalyani Group established in 1973. It has a manufacturing facility located at Hospet Works in Karnataka and primarily focuses on the business of manufacture and sale of Iron and Steel Products. In 1997, the company set up its Ginegera Plant. In 2004, a technological alliance was formed with Gujarat NRE and an integrated steel making project of 290,000 tonnes was setup at Ginegera in 1995. KSL had also forged a joint venture with Carpenter Technology Corporation (USA) in 1997 and entered into a joint venture with Gerdau S.A. (Brazil) in 2007. During February 2008, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with state industry and minerals officials for a Rs. 65 billion integrated steel and power project in West Bengal. Their Rolling Mill started its commercial production in 2013 and 33 metre square circular Sinter Plant was commissioned on 4th March 2013. In 2016, Lord Ganesha Minerals Private Limited became a subsidiary of KSL. Operating with a self-reliant special steel manufacturing process and numerous collaborations, KSL has showcased its excellent capabilities in the field of iron and steel production.
