About Haldyn Glass Ltd

Haldyn Glass Gujarat (HGGL) is a major player in the glass container industry since April 1991. An associate company of Haldyn Glass, HGGL has a plant in Gujarat that produces clear glass containers with a furnace capacity of 160 tpd. This location helps the company save freight costs of raw material as well as natural gas costs due to proximity to mines in Gujarat and Rajasthan and to ONGC's gasfields. Production began in 1995 with the 130 tpd new plant. HGGL is a major supplier to a variety of food and beverage, pharmaceutical and spirit companies such as Glaxo India, ParkeDavis and Mysore Breweries. The company is considering a new plant for decorative glass bottles at the Gavasad factory as well as converting a Double Gob machine to a Triple Gob machine to increase production. In FY 202122, HGGL acquired 20 lakh additional shares in its Joint Venture Company, HaldynHeinz Fine Glass Pvt. Ltd. for Rs 800 lakhs, raising its holding from 50 to 55.59%, making it a subsidiary of the company that year.
